I originally painted this in 2022 trying a simple bold style. However, it just looked unfinished. So a year later I went back and reworked the picture. The sun is coming round behind the headland which creates an interesting but challenging subject. The result is, I think, quite atmospheric and calm. I like the small building, which I have heard called the fisherman's hut, as it provides scale and interest. The causeway to the Worm's Head is in the top right of the picture. Oil on canvas.
