The waterfall is part of the landscaped gardens created by John Dilwyn Llewellyn. The gardens had become overgrown but have been restored by the Penllergare Trust. I painted this on a visit with fellow outdoor painters. The underpainting is acrylic for speed and then I switched to oil because I find this gives me more control. Painting quickly outdoors encourages you to simplify shapes and use more confident brushstrokes because there isn't time for anything else. This often works better for me than having too much time.  61x41cm.
