When I got to Rhossili to paint the wind was very strong. Fortunately, I found a surprisingly sheltered spot in behind a piece of the cliff and painted the view back towards Rhossili Down. Indeed it was so calm there I was able to use an easel. The painting was nearly torn out of my hand when I went back up the path and over the top. Other challenges were the shifting tide and the sun coming and going and shadows moving. Still, it's better than working!
The painting in progress. Oil on canvas.
