This was painted on a hot June afternoon in the shade of a sun umbrella and shows the corner of a relative's garden near Versailles. Their flowers were glorious and I enjoyed painting their different forms and the scatter of rose petals on the ground. It is acrylic on canvas. Acrylic paints are easiest when travelling because they dry very quickly.
