My main method with collage is to paint colours onto paper using watercolour and acrylic paint, often using spattering to add texture, then tear up the sheets and arrange them. I usually have an idea in mind for the subject and use colours accordingly. I like the rough white edges of torn paper. Collage allows you to try out different compositions and colour combinations before fixing the image. It includes an element of serendipidy as you move shapes around. 40 x 30 cm.
